Kariko Promotion begin their Master LIVE visits with a trip to Pfizer 's Manufacturing Facility

The Katalin Karikó Promotion of LIVE Master students began their industry and research center visit and master classes with a trip down the lanes of Pfizer's manufacturing facility in Puurs, Belgium on the 21st of April 2023. Accompanied by Master LIVE Advisor Sara Van Looy, who is an alumnus of the program herself, the students were welcomed by Ann Boschmans and Zara Wiltink on behalf of the site staff. The day proceeded with an elaborate tour of the facility where the students witnessed the intricate processes of the vaccine production ecosystem.

Soon afterwards, on May 5th 2023, the students made a visit to Vaccinopolis, the state-of-the-art vaccine research center with a Biosafety Level (BSL)-3 facility at the University of Antwerp and learned first-hand about Controlled Human Infection Model (CHIM) studies.
